This is one of those polishes that looks fantastic in the bottle but underwhelming on the nails. It's a lot of silver holo glitter & discs in a clear base. Actually, it's more like a glitter top coat. It'd take about 7 or 8 coats to look opaque. And I have about 5 dupes of this. I got this at Sally's red tag sale today for $1.49.
I just adore this nail polish, so of course I HAD to write a positive review on it! It's a clear polish with a little bit of silver microglitter and a ton of medium hexagonal sized holographic glitter. Nothing spectacular or unique particularly, but there's something I really like about it. Usually I don't apply it on it's own but I love it layered over other colors especially over silvery colors or silver tips for a futuristic French Manicure. Now, as much as I love it there IS a negative side and I have to be 100% honest...like many other China Glaze glitters this can get quite thick and gloopy over time. I'm on my 2nd bottle and both times have had to add nail polish thinner from time to time so that's why I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5. Overall though this is a fun polish to have and a must for anyone's collection. LOVE!
This is a really fun glitter polish. Clear base and a medium density of glitter which consists of silvery prismatic (holographic) glitter in medium-sized hexagonal glitter, small, round glitter, plus some very fine filler glitter. Very blingy. Application is pretty straightforward, and the glitter is well-suspended in the base. Base is just a bit on the thick side, and can get goopy after repeated use (very common with glitter polishes), so it's a good idea to have some polish thinner on hand to put in a couple of drops when necessary. Removal is typically a pain in the neck, but not as bad as some glitters I've used. This is my favourite polish for using in a jelly sandwich manicure, and a favourite, in general.
This nail polish it actually really pretty. I like the way it looks over my polishes, but I am looking for something more unique. I've had this for over a year now & starting to get bored with it. Another thing that I don't like about it is how it starts to look dull after just a few days. idk if that is just me or what. And also it is getting clumpy.. I guess becuase I use it so much. It makes to hard to apply nicely. Will be looking for something else.
I missed out on the first wave of the holo-craze and didn't get on board until the China Glaze Tronica collection. As holographic polishes go, Techno Teal is rather underwhelming. Like the other Tronica polishes, the holo effect is subtle and scattered. The iridescent holo particles give the nail a 3D effect up close, but it's not that WOW factor of the OMG collection.Techno Teal is a gorgeous, sparkly shade of teal that reminds me of looking out at the ocean. As a color, it is really beautiful. In addition, the formula is great. It seems to be one of the more opaque Tronica polishes two coats is plenty. Plus, it dries so quickly that it makes for an excellent manior pedi-in-a-hurry.
